Writing focus

A personal profile selects information relevant to its audience: name, general location, work or study, interests, and a goal. You do not need to include private contact details in a public introduction. Group related ideas and use clear present forms for your current situation.

Personal profile គួរមានឈ្មោះ ទីតាំងទូទៅ ការងារឬការសិក្សា ចំណូលចិត្ត និងគោលដៅតាមអ្នកអាន។ មិនចាំបាច់បញ្ចូលព័ត៌មានទាក់ទងឯកជនក្នុងការណែនាំសាធារណៈទេ។

Writing patterns

Examples

1. I live in Battambang with my family.

   ខ្ញុំរស់នៅបាត់ដំបងជាមួយគ្រួសារ។

2. I work as a shop assistant.

   ខ្ញុំធ្វើការជាបុគ្គលិកលក់។

3. I enjoy cooking and reading.

   ខ្ញុំចូលចិត្តចម្អិនម្ហូប និងអាន។

4. My goal is to speak more confidently.

   គោលដៅខ្ញុំគឺនិយាយឱ្យមានទំនុកចិត្តជាងមុន។

Model writing

My name is Maly, and I live in Kampot with my family. I work in a small shop and study English in the evening. I enjoy reading short stories and cooking with my sister. My goal is to speak more confidently with customers and visitors.

Common mistakes

Instead of	Use	Why
I am live in Kampot.	I live in Kampot.	Use live directly for this current home.
My hobby are reading.	My hobby is reading.	The singular subject hobby takes is.
